Are you a compassionate, resilient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs?

We are recruiting for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive specialist primary setting in Hillingdon (UB4 9QB). This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) who require tailored support to help them thrive both academically and emotionally.

The Role
/n
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
/n
/n
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
/n
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children.
/n
- Help pupils regulate their emotions and develop social skills.
/n
- Work alongside teachers and therapists to deliver personalised learning.
/n
- Encourage engagement, confidence and independence throughout the school day.
/n
- Promote positive behaviour using a calm, consistent and nurturing approach.
/n
/n
The Pupils
/n
You will be supporting primary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
/n
/n
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
/n
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
/n
- ADHD
/n
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
/n
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
/n
- Emotional regulation and attachment needs
/n
- Anxiety and behavioural challenges
/n
/n
We're Looking For Someone Who:

/n
- Has experience working with children or young people with SEN or SEMH.
/n
- Remains calm, patient and resilient in challenging situations.
/n
- Is confident supporting children with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
/n
- Can build strong professional relationships with pupils, staff and families.
/n
- Is committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
/n
