School Cleaner required - Primary School in Harlow. Engage Education Services are currently recruiting for a School Cleaner to work in a welcoming primary school in Harlow. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual with experience maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within a school environment. This role is offered on a full-time, temporary basis.
Working Hours
The working hours for this role are: Evening shift: 2:30pm to 6:30pm
About the Role
As a School Cleaner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the school environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out general cleaning duties across the school
- Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
- Dusting and wiping down surfaces
- Cleaning and sanitising toilets and washroom areas
- Emptying bins and replacing liners
- Replenishing supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
- Cleaning windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
- Following all health & safety and cleaning procedures
- Reporting any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate staff member
About You
To be considered for this role, you should:
- Have experience working in a school or similar environment
- Hold a valid enhanced DBS, ideally on the DBS Update Service
- Be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Be available to interview and start immediately
