Salary: £35602 - £48750

Key Responsibilities

/n

Plan and Deliver Individualised Lessons: Design and implement creative, differentiated lesson plans tailored to the unique needs and abilities of each child.

/n

Foster Holistic Development: Support students' academic, social, and emotional growth, encouraging confidence and independence.

/n

Develop and Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs): Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to create and monitor IEPs for your students.

/n

Create a Positive Learning Environment: Establish an inclusive and structured classroom where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn.

/n

Assess and Monitor Progress: Regularly evaluate and document student achievements, adapting teaching strategies to ensure continuous progress.

/n

Work Collaboratively: Partner with teaching assistants, therapists, and other staff to provide comprehensive support for each student.

/n

Promote Inclusion: Champion a culture of acceptance and understanding across the school community.

/n

Qualifications and Skills Required

/n

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

/n

Experience or a specialist qualification in SEN teaching (desirable).

/n

A strong understanding of the primary curriculum and how to adapt it to meet diverse learning needs.

/n

Expertise in working with children with a range of SEN, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), speech and language difficulties, and developmental delays.

/n

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and staff effectively.

/n

Creativity, patience, and resilience to meet the challenges and celebrate the achievements of SEN teaching.

/n

Familiarity with assistive technologies, sensory strategies, and alternative communication

/n

methods (e.g., Makaton, PECs) is advantageous.

/n

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.

/n
