The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils and teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

  • Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis, in small groups, and within the classroom.
  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
  • Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and independence.
  • Supporting children with varying learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), where required.
  • Helping to maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people in schools, childcare, coaching, tutoring, youth work, or similar settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • The right to work in the UK.

Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are welcomed but not essential.
