Your Role
- Create Impactful Learning Experiences: Design and deliver tailored lesson plans that address individual learning needs and styles.
- Support Diverse Needs: Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment for students with varying special needs.
- Monitor Progress: Regularly assess and adapt teaching strategies to ensure every student achieves their goals.
- Develop IEPs: Collaborate on Individual Education Plans, ensuring goals are realistic and met effectively.
- Encourage Positive Behaviour: Implement supportive strategies to manage and address behavioural challenges.
- Engage Families: Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers, keeping them informed and involved.
- Collaborate Holistically: Work with teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists to deliver well-rounded support.
Essential Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it.
- A strong interest or experience in special needs education.
Key Skills:
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
- Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
- Creativity and adaptability in delivering personalised learning experiences.
Desirable Expertise:
- Previous experience in special needs education.
- Familiarity with Autism, SEMH, and complex needs.
- Knowledge of alternative communication methods and adaptive teaching tools.
