Engage Education is working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Burgess Hill that is looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team after October half-term.
Your degree subject doesn’t matter — whether you studied STEM, Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, Sports or another subject, your skills could be valuable in the classroom.
What You’ll Be Doing
Working alongside experienced teachers, you’ll support pupils across the school and gain valuable insight into life in education.
Your day could include:
- Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
- Helping teachers deliver engaging lessons and activities
- Supporting children with reading, writing and maths
- Delivering targeted learning interventions
- Helping pupils who need additional academic, communication or behavioural support
- Encouraging positive behaviour and building children's confidence
- Preparing classroom resources and learning activities
- Helping create a positive and engaging learning environment
- Sharing observations and feedback with teachers
No two days will be exactly the same, making this a great opportunity to develop your confidence, communication and classroom skills.
