Are you an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in a Year 3 classroom?
Engage Education is working with a friendly and ambitious primary school in Brighton that is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team and support pupils in Year 3.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive school community where staff work together to create an engaging, inclusive and positive learning environment. You'll play an important role in helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and academic skills as they progress through Key Stage 2.
About the role
You'll work closely with the class teacher to support pupils throughout the school day, helping them get the most out of their learning.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
- Working alongside the class teacher during lessons
- Supporting children who need additional help accessing the curriculum
- Delivering targeted interventions in areas such as English and Maths
- Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
- Helping children develop their confidence and independence
- Providing encouragement and positive reinforcement
- Helping maintain a calm, engaging and inclusive classroom environment
- Supporting pupils with their social and emotional development
? The ideal candidate
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working with primary-aged children
- Has experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role
- Has a good understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
- Is confident supporting children with different learning needs
- Is patient, positive and approachable
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Is creative and enthusiastic about helping children learn
- Has a genuine passion for education and supporting pupil progress
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be desirable, but relevant experience will also be considered.
