Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join a dynamic and dedicated team at a special school in Haringey. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with a range of special educational needs, including autism, physical disabilities, and complex learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver inclusive, engaging physical education sessions tailored to the needs and abilities of each student

Support pupils in developing physical skills, coordination, confidence, and a love for physical activity

Work collaboratively with teaching staff and therapists to promote the physical and emotional well-being of students

Encourage participation, teamwork, and personal development through adapted sports and activities

Monitor pupil progress and contribute to reports and reviews
The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN

A recognised sports coaching qualification (e.g. Level 2 or above in a relevant sport or PE)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

A positive, patient, and proactive approach

An understanding of safeguarding and the ability to build positive relationships with students
