Overview
Engage Education are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a growing team in Hemel Hempstead that offers a great place to work with an exciting curriculum and a team that provides support and guidance. This SEN school is for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders from the ages of 4 to 19. This particular school is recognised as an outstanding hub for ASD support.
Responsibilities
- Work with the teacher to establish an appropriate learning environment for children with ASD
- Be responsible for keeping and updating records as agreed with the teacher
- Monitor and evaluate pupils\\\’ responses and progress against action plans through observation
- Assist in the development and implementation of appropriate behaviour management strategies for learners with ASD
- Be aware of and support diversity and ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop
Person Specification
- Experience working with students with SEN
- English and Maths qualification at GCSE level or above
- Excellent communication skills
- Imagination and enthusiasm to promote strong and effective teamwork
- Be ready for a challenge in an ambitious working environment
