I am currently recruiting an energetic, dedicated and experienced Autism Teaching Assistant for our SEND school in South West London. The successful Support Assistant will be on a full-time long term contract starting as early as possible for the whole academic year. You need a calm and positive approach and also be really proactive and approachable as children can be quite reserved.
Responsibilities
- Autism Teaching Assistant
- Supporting children and young people with Autism/ASC, Moderate to Severe and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (SLD/PMLD)
- Providing a creative and fun learning environment
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 16:00pm
- Assist with personal care where required (feeding and toileting)
- Work closely with other staff members and the multidisciplinary therapy team
Qualifications
- DBS on the Update Service is ideal
- Ideally have experience supporting children and young people with Autism/ASC
- Recent experience and a genuine passion for working with SEN pupils
- All applicants will need to hold a current enhanced Child Workforce DBS and be fully compliant to work in the UK
Salary and Terms
£90 – £100 per day; weekly payment
