An established specialist college setting in Leeds is seeking a dedicated and motivated SENCo to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or SEND professional looking to step into, or continue in, a SENCo role within a supportive and student-centred environment. The setting supports college leavers with Autism to gain employment through structured training programmes and supported work placements.

As SENCo, you will lead and coordinate SEND provision across the college, ensuring students receive high-quality, individualised support to achieve positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice
  • Managing, reviewing, and maintaining EHCPs and individual support plans
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, support teams, parents/carers, and external professionals
  • Advising and supporting staff on effective SEND strategies and interventions
  • Monitoring student progress and ensuring appropriate support is implemented
  • Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, SEND legislation, and internal policies

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a recognised teaching qualification
