We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to work in a successful secondary school within the East of Wakefield, we are currently recruiting for HLTAs who can assist in KS3/KS4 schools immediately.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting Students
- Get to know students to provide support on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to help students stay focused
- Build strong relationships with students to be best placed to assist them
- Creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued
- Lead a small group of students in a pre-planned lesson
- Provide feedback on students engagement and performance
- Help to keep the learning space organised and running smoothly
- Track student progress and celebrating their achievements
- Take part in meetings with parents to discuss how students are doing and how they can be supported further
What We’re Looking For:
- Someone who meets the Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) standards or is eager to achieve them within six months of starting
- A real passion for education and helping young people succeed
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Relevant qualifications at A-level or equivalent
- Experience working with secondary school students
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to inspire and engage pupils
