Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, nurturing and supportive Behaviour Buddy to work at a Special School in Calderdale to start immediately on a full-time Monday – Friday basis. This role would be perfect for someone that has either worked in schools before with children with SEMH difficulties or for someone who has worked in a residential setting / Young Offenders setting with children aged between 5-18. We invite people who have lived experience supporting children with complex needs such as Autism and ADHD to apply.
Responsibilities
- Full-time position Monday to Friday 08:30am-15:30pm
- Support the Class Teacher to deliver lessons
- Pupils are aged between 5-18 years old and you will be required to work across all age groups depending on the needs of the school
- Supporting children in accordance with their EHCP plan
- In this role, you will be working with some of the most difficult to reach children in society, so we are looking for people that are resilient and patient, that can work with children with a trauma informed approach
