A major UK nuclear new build programme is seeking a Preservation & Cleanliness Lead to support construction-phase delivery at Hinkley Point C. This is a site-based role with clear ownership of the care, preservation, and cleanliness of systems, structures, and components from receipt on site through installation and final handover.
Operating within one of the most highly regulated construction environments in the UK, this position plays a critical role in protecting condition, preventing degradation or contamination, and ensuring that all components are handed over in a demonstrably compliant and fit-for-purpose state.
The role sits at the intersection of construction delivery and nuclear quality, working closely with QA/QC, stores, logistics, construction teams, and client stakeholders to ensure preservation and cleanliness requirements are embedded and consistently applied throughout the installation lifecycle, in line with RCC-M F6000 and project quality standards.
This is a high-trust, site-facing leadership position, suited to professionals with experience in nuclear or other high-integrity construction environments who understand the importance of detail, traceability, and discipline during construction and turnover.
Key Responsibilities- Own preservation, care, and cleanliness regimes from receipt on site through installation and final handover
- Implement and maintain cleanliness and FME controls across storage, construction, and installation activities
- Coordinate closely with QA/QC, stores, logistics, and construction teams to ensure alignment and compliance
- Maintain accurate, auditable records in line with RCC-M and lifetime quality requirements
- Act as the focal point for preservation and cleanliness assurance during construction and turnover
- Proven experience in preservation, cleanliness, or condition protection within nuclear or similarly regulated construction environments
- Strong working knowledge of RCC-M requirements and nuclear quality expectations
- Practical, site-based professional comfortable operating across multidisciplinary teams
- Detail-driven with a strong audit, traceability, and compliance mindset
- Background in nuclear, oil & gas, power generation, defence, or other high-integrity sectors
