ENG Bauen is partnering with a leading international engineering and construction organisation that continues to expand its presence across the UK energy, infrastructure and industrial sectors. With significant long-term growth plans and a strong pipeline of secured work, the business is investing heavily in its commercial teams to support major project delivery across the country.
As part of this growth, we are seeking Quantity Surveyors to join the commercial function supporting works at Hinkley Point C, one of Europe's largest and most complex construction projects. This is an opportunity to become part of a well-established engineering contractor delivering critical construction and installation packages within a highly regulated environment.
Working across the full commercial lifecycle, you will be responsible for cost management, contract administration, change control and subcontractor management, ensuring successful commercial outcomes on a landmark UK project. This permanent position offers long-term career progression, exposure to major infrastructure delivery and the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements within a business that continues to secure and invest in large-scale energy projects.
The Role
- Manage project costs, forecasting, reporting and commercial performance
- Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
- Assess, manage and negotiate variations and compensation events
- Support subcontractor procurement, administration and account management
- Prepare and review valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout project delivery
- Work closely with project, planning and construction teams to support successful project execution
- Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting documentation
The Person
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor or Cost Engineer within construction, infrastructure, energy or industrial projects
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts, ideally NEC3 and NEC4
- Experience managing subcontractor packages and commercial interfaces
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent analytical and negotiation skills
- Able to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline is advantageous
- Professional membership (RICS, ICES or similar) would be beneficial
