ENG Bauen is supporting a well-established manufacturing organisation operating a critical, high-throughput production facility. As part of ongoing investment in asset reliability, maintenance excellence, and operational performance, the site is strengthening its in-house engineering capability.
Role Overview
This is a site-based, owner-operator maintenance role focused on delivering safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance support across production equipment, utilities, and site infrastructure. The position is suited to a hands-on multi-skilled engineer from a manufacturing background who is comfortable working in a live plant environment and balancing planned preventative maintenance with reactive fault-finding. The role plays a key part in minimising downtime, maintaining asset integrity, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance activities across manufacturing and site assets
- Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing faults and restoring plant availability safely and efficiently
- Maintain production equipment, utilities, HVAC, and building services in line with site standards
- Execute maintenance activities through the site CMMS, ensuring accurate records and reporting
- Identify and implement improvements to maintenance plans, reliability, and working practices
- Support small works, minor modifications, equipment installations, and basic commissioning activities
- Monitor spare parts usage and stock levels, supporting effective materials management
- Liaise with production and operations teams to minimise disruption and communicate progress
- Uphold the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance at all times
Candidate Profile
- Completed engineering apprenticeship or equivalent technical training
- Proven experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Broad mechanical and electrical maintenance capability, with exposure to instrumentation or controls beneficial
- Strong background in planned and reactive maintenance within live production facilities
- Comfortable working with CMMS systems and maintenance documentation
- Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Safety-led, reliable, and quality-driven
Desirable Experience
- FMCG, process, utilities, or advanced manufacturing environments
- Exposure to instrumentation, basic automation, or control systems
- Experience supporting HVAC, pumps, motors, compressors, conveyors, or utilities
