ENG Bauen continues to support major UK and European energy programmes, delivering critical work packages across oil & gas, petrochemical and renewable energy projects. We are now seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a permanent, site-based role in Hull. You will play a key role across the full commercial lifecycle, with responsibility for cost control, variations, subcontractor management and early identification of commercial risk.

This position suits an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Cost Engineer with strong NEC 3 / NEC 4 contract experience, looking for long-term stability with a globally recognised engineering organisation.

The Role

  • Manage and oversee the commercial lifecycle, including cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting
  • Administer NEC 3 / NEC 4 contracts and ensure full contractual compliance
  • Lead variation assessment and change control processes
  • Manage subcontractor accounts and commercial performance
  • Identify, escalate and mitigate commercial and contractual risks at an early stage
  • Support high-value energy and industrial projects in a live operational environment

The Person

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Engineer within the Energy, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Industrial sectors
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC 3 / NEC 4 contracts
  • Commercially astute with strong analytical capability
  • Confident managing subcontractors and engaging with multiple stakeholders
  • Detail-focused, proactive and comfortable working on complex projects
