- Support the development of project proposals by defining requirements, scope, resourcing, programme, and budget
- Create and maintain project plans, cost forecasts, risk registers, schedules, and other project documentation
- Take ownership of smaller projects and support Senior Project Managers on larger, more complex work
- Monitor project progress and help drive delivery against agreed timelines
- Manage project costs, including time, budgets, forecasts, and spend
- Ensure health and safety requirements and internal approvals are in place for site visits
- Support contract management and administration activities
- Manage change and risk in collaboration with technical teams
- Coordinate and develop colleagues, partners, and suppliers across multi-disciplinary teams
- Support environmental outcomes, sustainability, future-ready, and net zero ambitions across projects
- Build relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders
- Represent the Environment and Consents team and act as a trusted point of contact
- Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to team development

- Experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager in a project or PMO environment within environmental or sustainability sectors
- Understanding of programme management principles, including work breakdown structures, dependencies, and critical path
- Ability to interpret outputs from MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools
- Commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets, track performance, and support change control
- Experience delivering projects within budget
- Confident written and verbal communication skills
- Working towards or holding membership of a relevant professional body such as PMI, APM, MIEnv Sc, MIEMA, or MRICS
- Interest in the environment and/or sustainable land development
- Positive, proactive approach and genuine desire to grow a project management career
- Nice to have: Familiarity with Professional Services Contracts such as NEC3/4, chartership or progression towards it
