Responsibilities:
- Own the product backlog and delivery roadmap for stores, covering branch and teller operations, cash and cheque transactions, foreign exchange, and in-store customer servicing.
- Shape solutions for complex, high-volume retail transactions such as cash handling and foreign exchange at the counter.
- Translate stores domain and platform strategy into squad-level outcomes, priorities, and acceptance criteria for teller session and authentication, cash deposits, and cash exchange journeys.
- Prioritise work across customer value, business impact, delivery feasibility, technical health, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary product manager for the stores squad and make timely trade-offs for teller device operations and offline resilience capabilities.
- Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Operations, Risk, and Compliance to deliver viable, secure, and compliant branch, ATM, and cash-handling solutions.
- Define and track success metrics covering customer outcomes, teller productivity, operational performance, and time-to-value.
- Align stores squad delivery with colleague channels, platform, and enterprise priorities.
- Manage dependencies across other squads and elevate risks or conflicts where required.
- Use customer insights, data, and operational feedback to redefine in-store servicing, ATM, and cash journeys.
- Take responsibility for identifying and raising concerns related to customers, colleagues, Metro Bank, and risk.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of core banking products and customer journeys.
- Demonstrable experience delivering products or features in regulated and complex environments, using agentic capability to expedite requirements gathering and refinement.
- Proven experience delivering solutions into live retail branch environments, including cash handling and foreign exchange.
- Strong facilitation skills for backlog refinement, planning, and stakeholder alignment sessions.
- Familiarity with modern digital platforms, APIs, and system integration concepts, particularly branch, teller, and ATM systems.
- Awareness of regulatory, risk, and control considerations in financial services for stores and branches.
- Understanding of agile delivery models and product management within them.
- Excellent communication, prioritisation, trade-off, influencing, and collaboration skills across product, technology, operations, and control functions.
- Understanding of the risks associated with the role and their implications for Metro Bank and stakeholders.
