- Own performance from day one by embedding performance thinking into delivery plans before code is written;
- Define thresholds, metrics, and SLOs that govern pass or fail, including budgets for latency, error rate, and throughput;
- Design and build performance tests for individual services, stubbing downstream and third‑party dependencies;
- Map load to real production traffic to identify performance bottlenecks;
- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines to catch regressions automatically;
- Build reusable and scalable performance tests as code, components, templates, and utilities;
- Root‑cause regressions across the stack by reading logs and tracing requests through distributed systems;
