At enfinium, we’re on a mission to power homes and businesses with energy from waste, reducing landfill and driving the UK toward Net Zero. We’re looking for an Environmental Manager to take the lead at our state-of-the-art Parc Adfer facility.
What You’ll Be Doing
- As our Environmental Manager, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things environmental on site.
- Working closely with the Plant Manager and our wider SHEQ team, you’ll ensure we meet and exceed environmental standards, while guiding and supporting the onsite team.
- You’ll also represent enfinium externally, liaising with local councils and the Environment Agency to maintain strong partnerships.
- Managing and auditing our Environmental Management System, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
- Delivering and reporting on environmental monitoring programmes in line with permit requirements.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual ESG and KPI reports for senior management.
- Overseeing permit compliance, biodiversity plans, and regulatory monitoring routines.
- Managing all environmental regulatory requirements for the Waste-to-Energy facility, including CEMS (Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems) compliance, QAL2/QAL3 calibration checks, AST procedures, extractive monitoring, and water discharge controls.
- Reviewing emissions data daily to identify trends and potential plant performance issues.
- Managing specialist contractors and supporting boiler water chemistry monitoring.
- Conducting site inspections and audits to ensure statutory obligations are met.
What You’ll Bring
- Ideally a degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline, or significant experience in a regulatory/supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of environmental compliance and monitoring processes.
- Excellent communication skills - you’ll be confident engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of boiler water chemistry and treatment regimes is desirable.
