We’re looking for a driven Energy Analyst to help maximise the value of our 350MW Energy-from-Waste portfolio, support our trading and commercial activities, and play a key role in shaping the UK’s energy transition.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this varied and analytical role, you’ll help manage and optimise revenue from our energy portfolio, supporting everything from trading strategy to contract negotiations and market reporting. You’ll work closely with both our Commercial and Operations teams, gaining exposure across the whole business.

  • Supporting power sales activities and contributing to our energy trading strategy
  • Assisting with energy settlement and back-office trading processes
  • Supporting management of private wire agreements, PPAs, heat contracts, REGOs and CfDs
  • Collaborating with Operations teams to manage forecasts, outage profiles and performance
  • Contributing to the Capacity Market strategy and application process
  • Providing insight for business planning, pricing, budgeting and P&L reporting
  • Assisting with commercial assessment of new ventures and evolving UK energy policy
  • Managing relationships with BEIS, Ofgem and other policy stakeholders
  • Supporting Purchase Order processes and commercial administration

What We’re Looking For

You’ll succeed in this role if you’re analytical, commercially minded, and passionate about the UK energy sector.

Required qualifications & experience:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a technical, analytical or commercial subject
  • 2–5 years’ experience within an energy producer, supplier, trader or large energy user
  • Familiarity with energy supply contracts, PPAs or energy procurement
  • Strong understanding of the UK energy market; carbon market knowledge is a bonus
  • Advanced Excel skills and confident data handling
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
