About The Role enfinium Ferrybridge Join Our Team as a Mechanical Technician! Are you ready to keep the wheels turning and the plant performing at its best? As a Mechanical Technician, you’ll be a vital part of our maintenance team, ensuring our mechanical systems run safely, reliably and efficiently. From planned preventative maintenance to reactive repairs, you’ll help us maintain operational continuity and maximise plant performance.
What you will be doing
- Safety First: Ensure all work complies with health, safety and environmental standards, following change management processes where necessary.
- Plan and Coordinate: Organise daily maintenance activities, assist with outage planning, scheduling and coordination to keep everything running smoothly.
- Preventative & Reactive Maintenance: Carry out inspections, servicing and repairs on mechanical plant equipment to prevent breakdowns and respond quickly when issues arise.
- Investigate and Improve: Take part in investigations into safety and technical issues, propose solutions, and contribute to designing and installing new equipment or system modifications.
- Work Pack Management: Prepare detailed work control packs using our maintenance management system, issue them to the team, and ensure timely close-out reporting.
- Record and Report: Use our maintenance reporting system to log time, materials, issues identified and corrective actions taken—building a complete history of equipment performance.
- Technical Expertise: Read and interpret technical drawings, sketches and specifications to carry out accurate repairs and installations.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and provide off-duty cover when required to maintain plant availability.
What we’re looking for
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), ONC in engineering (desirable)
- Experience: At least 3 years in mechanical maintenance within power generation, renewable energy, or a similar industry.
- Background: Ideally, experience as a Maintenance Technician or Service Engineer working on plant equipment.
