Hours: Shift work, including days/nights from 2nd year. Start date: September 2026.

The Opportunity: We are looking for two Process Technician Apprentices to join our team. This Level 3 Process Industry Manufacturing Technician (PIMT) apprenticeship offers hands‑on experience in operating and maintaining a modern energy‑from‑waste facility. As an apprentice, you will support the safe and efficient operation of boilers, turbines and plant systems, while developing technical skills and industry‑recognised qualifications.

Apprenticeship Structure:

  • Year 1: Full‑time training at CATCH (Stallingborough near Grimsby) – accommodation, travel and uniform covered. Travel to sites is required between terms so a driving licence is advised. Sites are not easily accessible by public transport – travel arrangements required.
  • Years 2–3: On‑site training at Ferrybridge or Skelton Grange.
  • Completion: End‑point assessment (practical, knowledge test and interview). Gain a Level 3 NVQ and technical certificate in process industries.

Qualifications & Skills: We’re looking for you to demonstrate interest in engineering or process industries, a strong commitment to health & safety, a practical, hands‑on approach and good communication and teamwork skills. Entry requirements: English and Maths GCSE (grades 9–4/A*–C). Must be aged 18 by August 2027.
