About The Role

As the Head of Technology Operations, you will lead the delivery, performance and continuous improvement of Technology services across enfinium. You will oversee all aspects of Technology Operations, including applications, infrastructure, networks, telephony, cybersecurity, end-user computing, modern workplace services and cloud environments, ensuring services are secure, resilient and aligned to business needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of Technology at enfinium, working closely with the IT Director and Technology Leadership Team. You will drive the evolution from traditional IT support towards modern platform engineering, automation and service ownership models, ensuring technology enables safe, reliable and efficient business operations across all of our facilities.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery and performance of all Technology Operations services, ensuring systems remain secure, available and reliable.
  • Own end-to-end service management across infrastructure, cloud, applications and integrations, including Incident, Problem, Change and Request Management in line with ITIL best practice.
  • Build, develop and mentor a high-performing Technology Operations team, covering infrastructure, cloud, deskside support and DevOps capabilities.
  • Manage key managed service providers and third-party suppliers, ensuring service excellence, contractual compliance and value for money.
  • Drive operational transformation by introducing automation, platform engineering, DevOps practices and AI-enabled technologies to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Develop proactive monitoring, observability and service health reporting, using trend analysis to reduce recurring incidents and improve service performance.
  • Ensure technology services support business continuity and operational resilience across collaboration tools, telephony, cloud platforms and critical business systems.
  • Partner with Cyber Security teams to strengthen identity, endpoint and infrastructure security, whilst supporting incident response and remediation activities.
  • Support compliance with Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO27001, ISO9001 and other regulatory requirements through audit readiness and continual improvement.
  • Manage on-premise and cloud infrastructure including Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, ensuring scalability, resilience and performance.
  • Oversee network performance across LAN, WAN, VPN and wireless environments, supporting reliable connectivity across all enfinium locations.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex technology issues, maintaining a strong customer-focused approach across the business.
  • Own operational budgets, supplier spend and technology service costs, ensuring effective investment and commercial value.
  • Work collaboratively with Technology, Operational Technology (OT) and business stakeholders to deliver new services that are secure, supportable and operationally ready.
  • Contribute to the Technology strategy, ensuring operational priorities support enfinium's long-term business objectives.

Key Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Experience leading operational transformation initiatives and organisational change within technology functions.
  • Proven experience leading multi-discipline teams across infrastructure, cloud, application support.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL, Agile delivery methods, DevOps principles, and modern service management practices.
  • Broad technical knowledge across infrastructure, networking, cloud, and end-user computing domains.
  • Experience implementing automation, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, or platform engineering practices.
  • Experience operating within cloud-first and Microsoft-centric environments.

Desirable

  • Strong understanding of ITIL, Agile delivery methods, DevOps principles, and modern service management practices.
  • A passion for business partnering and aligning IT operational goals to the strategic goals of the organisation.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent automation platforms.
  • Experience implementing observability and monitoring platforms such as Zabbix, Azure Monitor, LogicMonitor, Splunk, Datadog, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting Operational Technology (OT) environments or highly available industrial operations.
  • Basic scripting experience PowerShell, Bash, Python. Exposure to AI Agents (MS Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise).
