Enfield Carers Centre are opening a brand-new community club with daytime services and activities, in January 2026, called Connections. Our new club is in Ponders End, Enfield.
We are seeking an experienced Coordinator as a key member of a new team

Key Responsibilities
- To coordinate the day-to-day operations of our daycare service,
- Ensure clients attending have a positive and engaging experience.
- Support the Operations manager to deliver high-quality, person-centred support and activities.
- Deputise for the Operations Manager in their absence or as and when required.
- Financial management, oversight and record keeping: including sales and purchase invoicing, receipts, credit control functions, petty cash and reconciliations
- Oversee staff and volunteers
- Organise activities
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the service

Hours: 35 hours per week

Connections is a new community initiative from Enfield Carers Centre, launching January 2026 at Enfield Enterprise Centre.
It’s designed to reduce loneliness, promote wellbeing, and build a vibrant, inclusive space for social connection — especially for older adults, vulnerable adults and those with health conditions or who are isolated.

Background
Connections has been developed in response to increasing demand for inclusive, community-based services, particularly for older adults as well as offering respite for Carers and families. It complements Enfield Carers Centre’s existing Carer support services by offering a space for continued growth, social engagement and meaningful activity.
Services Offered
Connections will offer a range of activities and support, including:
- Social gatherings and themed events
- Wellbeing activities such as mindfulness, relaxation, and gentle movement
Connections is delivered by a dedicated and compassionate team:
- Operations Manager
- Volunteers (including activity support, hospitality, and drivers)
The team works collaboratively to ensure a high quality, inclusive experience for all members.
Key staff responsibilities:
- Community Engagement – Welcoming members, building relationships, and fostering a sense of belonging
- Activity Coordination – Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive activities
- Empowerment and Support – Encouraging members to lead sessions and contribute ideas
- Safeguarding and Wellbeing – Ensuring a safe, respectful space for all participants
- Collaboration – Working as a team to deliver excellent service and adapt to members’ needs
Staff and volunteers at Connections should demonstrate:
- Warmth, empathy, and excellent interpersonal skills
- A commitment to inclusion and community empowerment
- Creativity and enthusiasm for planning and delivering activities
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing needs
- Awareness of safeguarding and wellbeing principles
- Experience (formal or informal) in community work, care, or support roles is desirable
