Overview
Can you manage a busy caseload, prioritise your own workload and work effectively as part of a team? Are you a confident and experienced communicator used to dealing with the public and contractors? Enfield Council is looking to recruit a Waste and Recycling Officer offering an exciting opportunity to implement, improve and monitor new and existing waste and recycling services.
We would love to hear from you if you are well organised and have a positive “can do” attitude. This role offers lots of variety and you will be able to use your skills in communication, adaptability, attention to detail, organisation and customer service to great effect.
You will be part of a growing team, engaging and communicating with residents about waste minimisation, maximising their recycling and transforming their waste behaviours, working towards both London-wide and national recycling targets. You will be based at our depot at Morson Road, but duties will be widespread throughout the Borough. It is essential that you have experience in a customer focused environment, excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for the environment and a good knowledge of Microsoft ICT systems including Excel, Word and Outlook. A full driving licence is also a requirement for this role.
Responsibilities

- Demonstrate experience in a customer-focused environment and strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate a passion for the environment and proficiency with Microsoft ICT systems (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Hold a full driving licence.
