As a Placements Officer working with the Placements Team, you will be responsible for commissioning a wide range of placements for children and young people, including emergency, short- and long-term foster care placements, residential placements, and semi-independent placements. You will be expected to cover duty where you will respond to a wide range of duty-related tasks, including payment queries.
You will be working closely with a committed team of placements officers, commissioners, social workers, as well as our leaving care team to support young people’s transitions into independent living. You will work collaboratively and respectfully with your colleagues across the department and with external providers to deliver high-quality and well-matched placements for children looked after and accommodation for care leavers.
Enfield Council’s Children’s Placement Team are seeking a confident, imaginative and dynamic individual to be part of a diverse and vibrant team with a single focus to improve the outcomes for children, young people and families across Enfield. Based in the heart of Enfield Town, situated in a modern newly designed client-facing service hub, the new office has bespoke areas for service users and is an environment which supports our smart working policy.
You will demonstrate enthusiasm and tenacity to work with a demanding market to secure suitable placements for our children and young people, bringing creativity and innovation to the way we commission placements.
Please note: this is a part-time position and the salary will be paid on a pro rata basis.
