You are someone with significant experience in working with vulnerable young people who face a range of complex challenges. With a deep understanding of the legislative framework surrounding Looked After Children and Care Leavers, you are well‑versed in financial planning and delivering best value services. You possess the ability to maintain detailed electronic case records timely and accurately. Additionally, you have demonstrated success in working collaboratively with partners for the benefit of young people and can develop and implement strategies to engage even the hardest‑to‑reach individuals.

The job involves ensuring that the Council meets its statutory obligations to young people leaving care, providing casework services for up to 27 young people. You will work directly with these young people, develop and implement care plans, and lead a multi‑agency network to offer comprehensive support. Your role includes planning and delivering group work sessions, providing emergency responses within a duty service, and managing resources within a limited budget. You will also work closely with various agencies, coordinate planning groups, secure appropriate accommodations, and promote educational, employment, and health outcomes for young people.
