COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH SOCIAL WORKERS/AMHPs - Level 2/3

Full time salary up to £55,672. The salary quoted above is inclusive of additional increments paid once registered with Enfield to practice as an Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP). The Level 2/3 Social Worker starting salary without AMHP registration is £41,133 - £51,138. The salary range once registered as an AMHP with Enfield is £45,750 - £53,172. AMHP responsibilities also currently qualify for a market factor supplement of £2,500, reviewed annually.

The London Borough of Enfield Integrated Mental Health Service seeks experienced Mental Health Social Workers & AMHP practitioners to fill vacancies in our fully integrated multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Teams and centralised AMHP Service. Our Community Locality Team/Home Treatment Team Mental Health Social Worker & AMHP position provides an exciting opportunity for experienced practitioners to demonstrate creativity to make a real difference in vulnerable people’s lives; contribute to mental health service development transformation, and to influence and shape the practice of aspiring social workers or AMHPs through Practice Education/AYSE Programs. The AMHP has a unique role, given that its work encompasses both children and adults; consequently, the work is varied and wide-ranging. As such, the AMHP plays a vital and essential role in safeguarding and supporting our most vulnerable residents.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate creativity to make a real difference in vulnerable people’s lives and contribute to mental health service development transformation.
  • Influence and shape the practice of aspiring social workers or AMHPs through Practice Education/AYSE Programs.
  • Perform AMHP work that spans both children and adults and undertake safeguarding and support responsibilities for vulnerable residents.
  • Utilise person-centred assessment skills with strengths-based and enabling principles, and coordinate and plan with a focus on prevention, recovery, wellbeing, and dignity outcomes.
  • Work within an integrated MDT setting and develop meaningful partnerships with service users, their carers, and families.
  • Collaborate with partners such as North London Partnership and local NHS Mental Health Trust to deliver a first-class service.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Experience as Mental Health Social Worker and AMHP practitioner; ability to work within an integrated Community Mental Health Team and centralised AMHP Service.
  • Commitment to person-centred practice, safeguarding, and empowerment models.
  • Ability to work with professional autonomy and participate in supervision and continued professional development.
