Job Description: Community Mental Health Social Workers/AMHPs β Level 2/3. The London Borough of Enfield Integrated Mental Health Service seeks experienced Mental Health Social Workers & AMHP practitioners to fill vacancies in our fully integrated multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Teamβs and centralised AMHP Service. The AMHP plays a vital role in safeguarding and supporting our most vulnerable residents and works across adults and children within a broad, varied remit.
Responsibilities
- Provide child and adult mental health social work assessments, planning, and interventions within a Community Mental Health Team and AMHP service.
- Demonstrate person-centred, strengths-based assessment skills, focusing on prevention, recovery, wellbeing, and dignity outcomes.
- Coordinate and plan care with service users, carers, and families; participate in MDT and multi-agency working.
- Contribute to service development, transformation, and practice education through AYSE/Practice Education programs.
- Deliver professional supervision and maintain high standards of safeguarding practice.
- Work flexibly within an integrated MDT setting and support the personalisation agenda in mental health care.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience as a Mental Health Social Worker/AMHP in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Capacity to fulfil both AMHP and social work responsibilities; AMHP registration may be required or pursued in role.
- Strong assessment, coordination, and communication skills; commitment to service user empowerment and recovery models.

Please note the salary quoted includes increments paid once registered with Enfield to practice as an AMHP. The Level 2/3 starting salary without AMHP registration is Β£41,133 β Β£51,138; the salary range with AMHP registration is Β£45,750 β Β£53,172; and a market factor supplement of Β£2,500 applies, reviewed annually.
