Overview

COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH SOCIAL WORKERS/AMHPs – Level 2/3

Full time salary up to Β£55,672. The salary quoted above is inclusive of additional increments paid once registered with Enfield to practice as an Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP). The Level 2/3 Social Worker starting salary without AMHP registration is Β£41,133 – Β£51,138. The salary range once registered as an AMHP with Enfield is Β£45,750 – Β£53,172. In addition, AMHP responsibilities currently qualify for a market factor supplement of Β£2,500, reviewed annually.

The London Borough of Enfield Integrated Mental Health Service seeks experienced Mental Health Social Workers & AMHP practitioners to fill vacancies in our fully integrated multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Team and centralised AMHP Service.

Our Community Locality Team/Home Treatment Team Mental Health Social Worker & AMHP position provides an opportunity for experienced practitioners to contribute to mental health service development, transform practice, and influence and shape social work/AMHP practice through Practice Education/AYSE Programs. The AMHP role encompasses work with both children and adults and plays a vital role in safeguarding and supporting our most vulnerable residents.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate creativity to make a real difference in vulnerable people’s lives within an integrated MDT setting.
  • Apply person-centred assessment skills, using strengths-based and enabling principles.
  • Coordinate and plan with a focus on prevention, recovery, wellbeing, and dignity outcomes.
  • Work in partnerships with service users, carers, and families; contribute to service development and transformation.
  • Provide supervision and support through Practice Education/AYSE programs where applicable.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with registration (and AMHP registration where applicable).
  • Experience in community mental health social work and AMHP practice preferred.
  • Ability to work across adult and child AMHP duties within an integrated MDT.
  • Strong assessment, coordination, and communication skills; commitment to person-centred, strengths-based approaches.
