Enfield Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Business Partner to join our dynamic Finance team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality public services for our residents.
As a Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with senior managers and service leads, providing expert financial advice, insight, and challenge to support effective decision-making, financial sustainability, and value for money across the Council.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a trusted financial adviser to designated services, supporting budget holders and senior stakeholders.
- Lead on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring for assigned service areas.
- Provide clear, timely, and insightful financial analysis to inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Support the development of business cases, savings proposals, and service transformation initiatives.
- Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and Council policies.
- Contribute to the Council's mediumāterm financial strategy and wider corporate finance objectives.
- A qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent), or working towards qualification, with relevant public sector or complex organisational experience.
- Strong experience in financial management, budgeting, and business partnering.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively at senior levels.
- Analytical, proactive, and solutionsāfocused, with a strong commitment to public service and value for money.
- Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fastāpaced environment.
