Enfield Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Business Partner to join our dynamic Finance team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality public services for our residents.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with senior managers and service leads, providing expert financial advice, insight, and challenge to support effective decision-making, financial sustainability, and value for money across the Council.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted financial adviser to designated services, supporting budget holders and senior stakeholders.
  • Lead on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring for assigned service areas.
  • Provide clear, timely, and insightful financial analysis to inform strategic and operational decisions.
  • Support the development of business cases, savings proposals, and service transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and Council policies.
  • Contribute to the Council's medium‐term financial strategy and wider corporate finance objectives.
About You
  • A qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent), or working towards qualification, with relevant public sector or complex organisational experience.
  • Strong experience in financial management, budgeting, and business partnering.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively at senior levels.
  • Analytical, proactive, and solutions‐focused, with a strong commitment to public service and value for money.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast‐paced environment.
