We are seeking a qualified Solicitor of England and Wales, Barrister, or CILEX professional with at least 2 years of post‑qualification experience in relevant legal practice areas. You are ambitious, talented, and committed to making a positive impact within our safeguarding team. As a Lawyer (Adults Safeguarding), you will handle a legal caseload related to adult social care, including Court of Protection proceedings, DOLs, safeguarding, and homelessness. You will work collaboratively with partner organisations and stakeholders to support the Council\'s legal services goals. You will also provide advocacy, advice to client officers, and prepare reports and legal documentation. Occasional attendance at committee and evening meetings may be required.
- Qualified solicitor, barrister, or CILEX
- Experience in adult safeguarding legal matters
- Strong oral and written communication
- Good case management and client care skills
- Ability to draft legal documentation
- Advocacy skills desirable
- Knowledge of local government law is a plus
