What the Job Involves

As a Junior Lawyer within the Legal Services team, you will provide a comprehensive legal service to the Council, maintained Schools, and Trading Companies. Tasks include managing legal work under supervision, with a focus on planning, property, and regeneration matters. You'll also be responsible for adopting best practices, keeping up with legal developments, instructing Counsel where authorized, and assisting senior members to ensure legislative compliance. Your role involves conducting advocacy, advising members during meetings, and providing cover for team members when required.
