Job Description

Sweeper Driver LGV - AM shift 6am - 2pm

We are recruiting for Street Cleansing Sweeper - Driver LGV working on behalf of the Borough Council.

The posts are for driver operatives for up to LGV class 2 vehicles and or mechanical sweepers.

For these posts you will need to hold a full valid manual UK driving licence, with the ability to drive a range of vehicles category C (up to 26 ton) as a minimum, and a valid CPC licence.

Your duties will include, sweeping and removal of controlled waste within the Borough (including roads, pavements and shopping areas) using a range of tools and equipment.

  • Work alone or as part of a team
  • Transfer waste to the collection vehicle for transport to a waste processing facility
  • Be on your feet all day and work in all weather conditions
  • Maintain a courteous and efficient collection service to members of the public and to project a positive and professional image of Enfield Council always
  • Ensure that any potential danger to yourself, other employees or the public is minimised
  • Have basic literacy and numeracy skills to enable you to complete basic associated paperwork and have the ability to read maps.
  • Be able to use an electronic device to record data relating to the work carried out
