We are delighted to invite applications for an Assessment Assistant (SC5) to join our newly established Crisis Support and Resilience Team – a high‑profile, fast‑developing service at the heart of the Council’s work to support residents through financial hardship and build long‑term resilience.
About the Role
As an Assessment Assistant, you will support the delivery of crisis and hardship schemes, including the Crisis and Resilience Fund, Housing Payments and Council Tax Support Hardship Payments. You will provide high‑quality administrative and assessment support, working closely with Crisis Support and Resilience Officers to ensure applications are progressed accurately, efficiently and compassionately. Your work will directly support residents at difficult points in their lives, helping ensure timely access to financial help and wider support.
