We are seeking an arboricultural professional to join our thriving tree service team. You are an experienced individual with a strong background in urban tree management, particularly in conducting tree inspections, surveys, and diagnosing tree defects and diseases. You possess a good working knowledge of tree legislation and experience with tree decay detection equipment. You also have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage various stakeholders, including Council officers, Councillors, Developers, Community groups, and the public. A positive attitude with personal drive and initiative to learn and improve is essential.

You will be part of a team of arboriculture officers leading the management and inspection of the Council's tree stock. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Risk management
  • Providing specialist arboricultural advice
  • Issuing works to contractors and the in-house tree service
  • Engaging in various tasks not directly related to arboriculture, such as financial management, general administration, member's enquiries, and contract management

Opportunities are also available for an Assistant role, assisting the Arborist with less accountability and responsibility.
