You should be committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and appearance, and have the ability to follow safety and hygiene instructions diligently. A food hygiene qualification and safeguarding awareness are desirable, alongside an understanding of health and safety regulations. Flexibility in work hours and a readiness to travel are important.
What the Job Involves
This role involves basic preparation of food and beverages, including cooking and serving meals while adhering to portion control standards. You will be responsible for general kitchen and dining duties such as washing up and cleaning equipment and tables. The position requires the operation of a computerized meal register and involves ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and dining areas. There is a focus on accident and hazard prevention, and immediate reporting of any equipment defects is required. Work hours can vary, typically ranging from 2.5 to 3 hours, with a non-paid break when appropriate. A photo ID and a letter confirming Enhanced DBS check will be needed.
