Working as part of the Planning Decisions Team, you will lead a range of development schemes, maintain and improve planning performance, and provide an excellent customer experience. This is a key role and offers an opportunity to develop your planning knowledge and experience in a busy planning environment.

You will deal with a range of planning applications, including industrial, retail, business, residential, green belt and heritage projects, reflecting the diverse composition and varied development opportunities in the borough. An understanding of development management and associated planning legislation will be essential, but further training opportunities will be available to enhance your skills and experience.

You will have excellent customer focus and be able to demonstrate confidence in dealing with applicants and their agents, councillors and residents.
