Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors in person, by phone or email, offering a warm and inclusive welcome and providing clear, accurate information.
  • Supporting the reception area, events, hires, and gift shop (both in‑person and online).
  • Leading guided tours of the Hall, focusing on its heritage and venue hire opportunities.
  • Monitoring the site, supporting maintenance tasks, and liaising with contractors as required.
  • Supervising casual staff and volunteers during your shifts.
  • Collaborating with the wider Forty Hall team to enhance the visitor experience, grow our audiences, and support commercial use of the venue.

Ideal Candidate

This role is ideal for someone with a strong track record of delivering exceptional visitor and customer experience within a heritage or cultural venue. You must have experience in Heritage, Arts or Cultural Venues. Unfortunately, without this experience we cannot consider you for this position.

Role Details

  • Role: Forty Hall Front of House Assistant
  • Hours: 29 per week, Thursday – Sunday (Includes regular weekend, evening and Bank Holiday work)
  • Overtime: No additional payment, however Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) can be arranged
