Enerveo is seeking a SHE (Safety, Health, and Environmental) Advisor to support our Highways Electrical business, which holds significant PFI contracts across Cornwall, Devon, South Wales and Somerset. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring compliance with safety standards, occupational health regulations, and environmental policies across multiple projects.

In a typical day, you could expect to be;

  • Monitoring SHE performance at Regional and Depot level. Reporting to Operational Management on good performance / best practice as well as deficiencies and opportunities for improvement.

  • Provision of key support with regards to the development and implementation of improvement actions, initiatives, and plans.

  • Assisting in the management of the company’s environmental responsibilities in compliance with environmental requirements.

  • Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses and sharing lessons learned.

  • Reviewing documentation for appropriate health & safety content (RAMS, CPPs etc).

  • Visiting our sites and advising site management on day-to-day SHE matters.

  • Supporting project teams on adherence to relevant legislation and both Enerveo and Client expectations.

  • Promoting and encouraging best practice.

  • Delivering toolbox talks on health, safety, environmental and wellbeing themes.

  • Health and wellbeing promotional campaigns.

  • Passionate about the Profession and display a proactive approach to the role

  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of the application of SHE management principles and best practice within an operational environment.

  • Proven track record of engaging effectively with stakeholders in SHE matters and requirements.

  • Experience of developing and improving processes, and driving SHE performance

  • We would ideally want you to come from a Construction, Mechanical or Electrical engineering or a DNO background.

  • Willingness to challenge unsatisfactory conditions or breaches.

  • Excellent IT skills with experience in using Teams, Excel and Databases.

  • You will have a professional approach, be self-organised and motivated to positively influence stakeholders.

  • Competent in incident investigation, and trend analysis.

  • A minimum of NEBOSH certificate in an occupational health, safety or environmental topic.

Salary: £31,864 – £49,087 depending on skills and experience, car/car allowance plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
