Job Purpose
Working within the motive power battery division of the business, the field service technician will cover a defined regional area repairing and maintaining batteries, chargers and auxiliary equipment associated with the product performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Charger repairs – fault analysis and repair of 50 Hz and Hf Chargers
- Battery repairs – Fault analysis and repair of batteries
- Auxiliary Equipment - Maintenance and repair of management systems/BFS systems and other associated equipment
- Admin – Complete and submit all necessary report and paperwork comprehensively and in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Must have a City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- Must have a full UK driving license
- Mechanical qualifications preferable
Knowledge and Experience
- Knowledge of batteries and chargers for the motive power industry desirable but not essential
- Three phase electrical systems troubleshooting and knowledge of electrical systems design
- Experience in reading and updating electrical and controls schematics and documentation, SOP’s and VSOP’s
- Working knowledge of high voltage distribution
- Must be willing to travel

- Ability to problem solve complex electrical, and controls issues
