Summary – basic function of the role
We are seeking a Service Growth Manager to join our EMEA team based in Aberdeen. This role is an individual contributor responsible for building and launching new service lines for Hydratight across EMEA, with a primary focus on the Energy sector, including Oil and Gas. You will identify commercially viable service opportunities, create the business case, design the service offering (scope, pricing, delivery model), and lead the launch in partnership with commercial and operations teams. Success in this role is measured by new service launches, revenue growth, profitability, and adoption across the region. You may also support partnership opportunities and acquisition assessments where these accelerate service growth.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- New service line build
- Identify and prioritise opportunities for new service lines using customer insight, market analysis, and field learnings.
- Define new service offerings, including value proposition, scope, pricing approach, and delivery model.
- Build clear business cases outlining expected revenue, margin, investment, and resourcing requirements.
- Lead pilots and early customer deployments, capturing lessons learned and refining the offering.
- Convert successful pilots into repeatable services through standardisation, playbooks, and enablement.
- Partner with commercial teams to develop go-to-market plans for new service lines (target customers, messaging, sales approach).
- Support sales enablement including training, tools, and objection handling to drive adoption.
- Track performance through defined KPIs (pipeline, revenue, margin, attach rate, customer outcomes) and adjust strategy based on results.
- Gather Voice of Customer input to validate demand and inform service design.
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to identify emerging service opportunities.
- Identify and assess partnership opportunities that support service expansion.
- Support early-stage acquisition evaluations where relevant, focusing on service capability fit and value creation potential.
- Review existing services to improve performance, profitability, and customer value where required, without detracting from new service build priorities.
Travel
This role may involve travel of up to 50% across the EMEA region to support customer engagement, service development, and launch activity.
Skills and Competencies
- Experience building and launching new service offerings or new service lines (0 to 1), including commercialisation and operational implementation.
- Background in service growth, business development, service portfolio expansion, or commercial strategy within Energy, Oil and Gas, industrial services, or adjacent sectors.
- Strong capability in market assessment, opportunity sizing, and business case development.
- Comfortable operating in a matrix environment and driving alignment across commercial, operations, and leadership stakeholders.
- Clear, structured communication with the ability to influence and drive decisions.
- Experience supporting partnerships, joint ventures, or acquisition assessments linked to service growth.
- Experience developing pricing models and service delivery frameworks.
Education & Experience
- MBA or equivalent advanced qualification (preferred but not required).
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are highly valued.
