The Role
Valve Supervisor β permanent opportunity supporting the UK\βs flagship Low Carbon Nuclear project. You will supervise a team of Technicians responsible for the safe strip down, inspection, repair, and rebuild of a wide range of nuclear-grade valves on site. You will work within a large, collaborative team and must maintain high standards of quality control, organisation, and tidiness, ensuring a clean and safe work environment on this high-profile project.
You may be local or within a commutable distance; candidates from further afield may be considered if they are able to live away from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out the inspection, testing, repair, and rebuild of various types and sizes of valves
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and quality assurance procedures
- Maintain a clean, well-organised workspace at all times
- Accurately document work completed, including inspection and test reports
- Represent EnerMech\βs standards of professionalism and technical excellence on site
- Contribute positively to a large team delivering critical infrastructure safely and efficiently
Requirements
- A recognised mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent formal qualification
- Proven experience in the repair and maintenance of valves (control, manual, safety relief, etc.)
- Previous experience supervising a team
- A strong understanding of quality control procedures and the importance of cleanliness and organisation
- Experience working within large, multi-disciplinary teams on complex industrial or energy projects (nuclear preferred but not essential)
- A proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious mindset
