The Role and Responsibilities

EnerMech are looking to recruit a Senior Manager FP&A to our busy Finance team in Aberdeen.

The position plays a key role in driving financial performance management across the organisation by delivering high-quality planning, forecasting, reporting and commercial insight. Working closely with the Head of FP&A, this role partners with business leaders and functional teams across multiple geographies to improve decision-making, establish consistent performance management practices and enhance the quality of financial information used throughout the organisation.

The role is responsible for embedding standardised reporting, developing meaningful performance metrics, improving forecast accuracy and evolving the FP&A function from a predominantly historical reporting function into a proactive, forward-looking business partner.

Responsibilities will include;

  • Partner with business line leaders and functional leadership teams to provide insightful financial analysis that supports strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Deliver value-added analysis that identifies risks, opportunities and performance improvement initiatives
  • Lead elements of the budgeting and rolling forecasting processes across multiple business areas
  • Support scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to enable informed business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain standardised management reporting across business units and geographies
  • Ensure all reporting has a clearly defined purpose, addresses stakeholder requirements and drives action
  • Partner with stakeholders to define, implement and continuously refine a consistent suite of financial and operational KPIs
  • Build strong working relationships with Finance, Commercial, Operations, HR, IT and other corporate functions
  • Identify and resolve cross-functional data dependencies that impact reporting quality or forecasting capability
  • Work across multiple geographies to establish common planning and reporting standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, reporting and planning methodologies
  • Develop trusted relationships with senior business stakeholders across multiple functions and geographies
  • Present financial information confidently to senior management, translating complex analysis into concise business messages

Essential Experience Requirements

  • Significant experience within Financial Planning & Analysis or Commercial Finance
  • Experience partnering with senior operational and functional leaders
  • Proven experience supporting multinational organizations with multiple business lines
  • Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience designing management reporting, dashboards
  • Demonstrated success in improving planning, forecasting and reporting processes.
