The Role and Responsibilities

EnerMech are looking to recruit a Hydraulic Sales Specialist to join their Fluid Power Products team in Aberdeen. The role is responsible for developing and growing sales of hydraulic and fluid power products, services and engineered solutions by providing expert technical support to customers and the internal sales team. The role acts as the technical authority within the commercial function, identifying opportunities, developing customer relationships and supporting complex technical quotations while promoting the company's full range of capabilities, including hydraulic products, hose assemblies, engineering services, hose integrity management and subsea machining solutions.

  • Develop new business opportunities across target market sectors
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing customer accounts
  • Carry out customer visits to understand technical requirements
  • Provide expert advice on hydraulic and fluid power products
  • Interpret hydraulic schematics and customer specifications
  • Recommend suitable hydraulic components and system solutions
  • Prepare and review technically accurate quotations

The Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within the hydraulic or fluid power industry
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic components and systems
  • Experience in technical sales or application support
  • Ability to interpret hydraulic schematics
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with offshore, marine or industrial hydraulics
  • Knowledge of hydraulic power units
  • Experience with hose and fittings
  • Familiarity with Parker Hannifin or equivalent hydraulic product ranges
  • Experience using ERP and CRM systems
  • HNC/HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
