The Role and Responsibilities
An exciting new permanent opportunity has arisen within our Cranes and Lifting department for a Crane Operator Mechanic. The role will be to work on a 3/3 rotation based in the North Sea. The opportunity is to work on a new contract with promising longevity. You will be tasked with carrying out first line maintenance up to and including 6 monthly Planned Maintenance Routines and ensuring Crane integrity is maintained in accordance with client's maintenance standards.
- Supervise mechanical work scopes as directed by onshore engineering
- Record crane availability in line with client performance standards
- Complete daily log, trip assessment reports and crane log books
- Update crane data into client maintenance management system
- Operate crane for installation and vessel lifts within crane design, consideration to weather and sea states in line with relevant lift plans and risk assessments
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful for the position it is essential you hold a Stage III Offshore Crane Operator Certificate and subsequent Stage III assessments. You will also hold a recognised apprenticeship or mechanical qualification. Previous Offshore experience and valid offshore certificates are essential. It is preferred but not essential if you also hold all or some of the following certification; ERT, HERTL, HLO, Fire Team Leader.
