The Role and Responsibilities Overview

  • Responsible for safe delivery of technical engineering tasks, from initial kick-off to issue of deliverables.
  • Responsible for indirectly supervising and work allocation of discipline engineers to undertake duties within a multidiscipline engineering group.
  • Perform engineering support in the detailing of work scope methodologies including equipment and specialist tooling specification, compiling and reviewing design inputs and functional requirements.
  • Site based duties will include being client and company assigned engineer, responsible for all aspects of work scope implementation in accordance with client and company procedures.
  • Creation of technical outputs including but not limited to drawings, calculations and procedures.
  • Responsible for providing technical guidance for specified discipline across EnerMech business lines as required.

Main Responsibilities and Activities

  • Responsible for the delivery of technical work scopes.
  • Contributing to teams of Project Manager, Lead, Senior & Project Engineers for the purpose of delivering our clients projects including management of and communication with 3rd party suppliers, sub-contractors and EnerMech service departments.
  • Mentoring and direct junior technical engineers.
  • To provide innovative designs to solve Client needs.
  • Supervise testing of unit designs.
  • Assistance with updating and maintenance of drawings and records and be proactive in system improvement initiatives to support Quality Management System.
  • To provide drawings and calculations in support of designs.
  • Checking and approval of drawings and data.
  • Preparation of bills of materials and purchase requisitions.
  • Performing offshore / site surveys as necessary to acquire input data.
  • Responsible for progress inputting and update where required.
  • Responsible for the management of hours and jobs.
  • Control of and issue of documentation to company standards.
  • Responsible for drafting and issuing project change documentation capturing scope growth and or variations.
  • Identify risks to the project and elevate or manage them appropriately.

You Are Recognised Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Degree (BEng/BSc) or Higher National Engineering qualification or equivalent experience with a willingness to develop further education.
  • Good computer skills and competent with Word, Excel, AutoCAD.
  • The ability to execute engineering calculations, MATHCAD, MATLAB, 3D computer modelling, simulation software.
  • Technical author.

Preferred

  • Hons Degree or Masters in Mechanical engineering or similar qualification with relevant experience.
  • Professional membership (IMechE/IMarE/IET/Other).
