Our client, a leading provider of building services, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Wolverhampton. The role involves working within the data centre sector and requires expertise in Quantity Surveying and Building Services.
Eligibility: Full right to work in the UK required. Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with any visa sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing construction information (Contract Documents)
- Understanding tender information and preparing Cost Plans
- Reporting on Cost Plans monthly and highlighting potential issues
- Procuring supplier and sub-contractor packages
- Submitting Monthly Interim Valuations and Variations to the client
- Preparing and submitting Sub-Contract documents
- Tracking labour hours using the Donseed system and addressing issues
- Auditing Sub-Contractor applications for payment and preparing notices
- Uploading Sub-Contractor Variations to ERP System
- Reviewing Site Programmes regularly for delays and disruptions
- Attending internal and external commercial meetings
- Maintaining Document Management System in-line with SOP & Filing Guide
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in Quantity Surveying
- Proven track record within the mechanical & electrical/building services industries
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline
- Comprehensive understanding of tendering & construction process
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
